As part of the Plastic Free July Community Celebration we are having a mega Avalon Beach Clean! Grab your friends and family, let’s clean our beach, collect stuff for our ocean sculpture, have a coffee, check out the AUSMAP microplastic citizen science project, and then head up to Barrenenjoey High School to appreciate all the initiatives our local environmental groups are undertaking to protect our oceans waves and beaches. The community event is hosted by Living Ocean and will feature an array of our environmental rock stars... Surfrider Foundation Australia Avalon Boomerang Bags The Green Team AUSMAP Wander Lightly Coastal Environment Centre Take 3 Northern Beaches Northern Beaches Council Avalon Community Garden and more.
